We've said from the start, looking good is one thing, but doing good is so much more important. Since we launched in March, we're already making an impact through our partnership with SolarAid. The solar lights distributed from sales of Bird Sunglasses have reached 870 people, saved 212 tonnes of CO2, given 201,177 hours of extra study time, and £29,026 saved by families.*(over the lifespan of one light). We recently sent a pack of goodies to a SolarAid school project in Malawi, helping to support & encourage young people in their education. We're so excited to share our new short film, "First Light"! It features our favourite designs, a flock of good friends, a good-looking sports car, a trusty paddleboard and one very cute puppy, and most importantly it celebrates the story that every pair brings solar light to families in rural Africa through our partnership with SolarAid
'The Nightingale'Also featured in the film is our gorgeous new design, the Nightingale - beautifully crafted Beech and Cherry wood form this classic and timeless shape with polarised smike grey lenses. Choose from two different temple styles, feather engraved or plain.
Creator Ed Bird had been looking for a way to combine his design, business and charity skills to create a product that would 'Look good, but have purpose too.' The result is a unique, stylish and thoughtful collection, and for every purchase, Bird help distribute a solar light through their 'Share Your Sun' partnership with Solar Aid.
